It’s so hard to believe I’ve already been a whole year here at LeoVegas. It has gone so fast, yet it feels like I have been working here for so long. Did I only graduate a year ago? I have learned so much during my first year at LeoVegas. Being in a fast-growing company we have no choice but to keep up with the pace. This has definitely encouraged me soak up as much knowledge as possible, and has really made me grow me as a marketer.
I have been trying out so many different things during this period, everything from project management for our global campaigns to working with VIP events, organisational initiatives, trackable marketing, visiting conferences, and much more. The variety of tasks has really guided me, and enabled me to figure out what it is I really like.
My year as a trainee
My main focus over the year has been our global marketing campaigns. This means I have to help structure how we work with marketing, processes, and routines for multiple teams involved in the process. This has enabled me to work with several different teams: marketing, CRM, content, copy, design, country managers, product managers… and the list goes on and on. This is one of the best things about this job, working with so many different teams and the challenge of finding alignment. As the company grows, we also do more campaigns of course, which I have been project managing. I have been working with the Casino vertical, the Live Casino vertical and recently also with Sportsbook. This is very different marketing – but once again, another thing that makes this job so exiting.
My new role…
So, as you probably have understood, I will continue managing the global campaigns in my new role as Marketing Manager. And nothing could have prepared me better for the challenges ahead than being a trainee. As a trainee, you get a deep understanding of the organisation and the importance of delivering, since you work so close with the management. That is something I will have tremendous use for in my new role.
I have also been settling in well on the island of Malta. It is a small but beautiful island, and it has so much to offer. Just being able to take a swim in the Mediterranean after work is so nice. I truly recommend everyone to go abroad – if only for a year – to get the experience of working in a different culture, and meeting new people.
So, the adventure for me continues here in Malta, and with LeoVegas, but now as Marketing manager. This also means that I no longer will post here on the blog. But who knows, I might make a special appearance in the future.
It truly has been a pleasure to start off as a trainee, and if it is not yet clear – I recommend everyone to do it!
